50 jaar Turkse immigratie in Arnhem betekent natuurlijk ook veel voor de stad en veel voor de bewoners van Arnhem. Rahmi Gemril: Eigenaar en oprichter van Gemril BV (Pluimveehouderij). Tot kort nog voorzitter van de Turkse ondernemers vereniging (TOV) en is ook lid van van het OKA. Budak is ook docent aan de lerarenopleiding Islamgodsdienst in Amstelveen.
Veysel Eroglu: Was landelijk bestuurslid bij Diyanet en voorzitter van de Turkiyem Moskee (grootste moskee Arnhem). Ondanks dat hij nu niet door een deur kan met ‘Diyanet’ heeft hij veel betekent voor de stad en de mensen. Hij was een leider en speelde een belangrijke rol in allerlei Arnhemse kwesties. Ook achter de schermen was Veysel Eroglu vaak zichtbaar en aanwezig om Arnhemmers te steunen of te informeren.
Talip Aydemir: Ex-gemeenteraadslid Aydemir (2006-2014) is een bekende Arnhemmer. Hij is nog steeds record-houder met 1700 (2006) en 1200 (2010) stemmen in de gemeenteraad van Arnhem. Als ‘netwerker’ is hij zichtbaar in de hele stad en heeft hij veel invloed in Arnhem. Ook is Aydemir nog steeds actief in verschillende (online) netwerken.
Ali Musa Ozdemir: Kwam naar Arnhem toen er nog amper Turken waren in Arnhem. ‘Ali Musa Amca (oom)’ zoals hij door iedereen genoemd wordt ook wel de ‘verbinder’ genoemd. Hasan Dogan: Dogan is eigenaar van Drukkerij Dogan. En doet dit al 24 jaar. Ondanks dat hij niet altijd even zichtbaar is, is hij een belangrijke figuur in Arnhem. Dogan komt van oorsprong uit de Achterhoek, en heeft een landelijke netwerk. Als ondernemer heeft hij veel betekent voor verschillende Arnhemse verenigingen en bedrijven.
Bahadir Arabacı: Arabacı is tegenwoordig advocaat in Arnhem en actief betrokken bij voetbalclub Elsweide. Hij maakte een droom waar voor veel Turkse Arnhemmers door een Turkse voetbalclub te creeeren. Dankzij zijn inzet en bijdrage verandere voetbalclub Elsweide weer in een gezonde club met veel Turkse leden.
İsmail Üngüç: Eigenaar van Serhat Impex en mede-oprichter van Turkse ondernemersverenigingen HOTIAD (landelijk) en TOV (Arnhem). Üngüç is ook een bekende Arnhemmer. Üngüç is betrokken bij verschillende Turkse initiatieven in Arnhem. Ook staat hij bekend om zijn lezingen (in kleine kringen) en kennis over allerlei actuele zaken.
