D66 en SP stellen vragen over tariefsverhoging buskaartje
D66 en SP hebben kennisgenomen van de voorgenomen tariefswijziging voor het RIT-kaartje (papieren buskaartje) door Breng (Hermes) op verscheidene buslijnen.
In de regio Arnhem betreft het de buslijnen 5 (Presikhaaf-Schuytgraaf), 7 (Geitenkamp-Rijkerswoerd) en 33 (Arnhem-Doornenburg).
Twee keer zo duurder
De papieren buskaartjes zijn per 1 februari 2015 met €1.50 verhoogd.De Gelderlander meldde onlangs dat Breng, met goedkeuring van de Stadsregio Arnhem-Nijmegen als concessieverlener, de prijzen voor een los buskaartje op sommige lijnen in zowel de regio Nijmegen als de regio Arnhem flink gaat verhogen. Op sommige buslijnen wordt het ineens 2 keer zo duur: van €1,50 voor een enkele reis naar €3.
Bij reizigersorganisatie ROCOV zijn ze verrast dat de prijzen met 1,50 euro ‘zo fors’ verhoogd worden. Volgens ROCOV jaagt Breng zo mensen uit de bus. Voorzitter Ben Mouw: “Deze prijsverhoging keuren we af en is buitenproportioneel.”
Ook D66 en SP zijn van mening dat een zo sterke verhoging niet bijdraagt aan het bevorderen van het gebruik van het OV
