Esen Gürbüz maakt reden vertrek bij Afc Arnhem bekend
De beste spits allertijden van Arnhem, Esen Gürbüz, gaat er mee stoppen bij Afc Arnhem. Dit maakte hij onlangs bekend. De redactie van Haber Arnhem kwam hier ook verschillende berichten over tegen op social media.

De spits van hoofdklasser Afc Arnhem bevestigde aan Haber Arnhem dat hij aan het eind van het seizoen gaat vertrekken bij de Hoofdklasser. Hij speelde al zeven seizoenen voor de Arnhemse formatie. Volgens velen is Esen ook samen met Dennis van Beukering mede-verantwoordelijk voor het succes van Afc Arnhem (Fc Presikhaaf).

Esen Gürbüz is geen ‘jonkie’ meer en wil afbouwen als voetballer. Hij wilde eigenlijk al stoppen, maar heeft dat op verzoek van velen weer uitgesteld. Op een vraag waarom hij niet verder gaat met eerste zaterdagelftal van Afc Arnhem reageerde hij dat hij ook veel bezig is met zijn kinderen die ook zaterdagvoetballen en ‘dat hij daardoor niet veel tijd over heeft om zaterdag ook zelf te voetballen.’
Esen Gürbüz is misschien wel de succesvolste aanvaller van Arnhem en omgeving. Jarenlang heeft hij op verschillende niveau’s laten zien dat hij geen moeite heeft met het maken van doelpunten. Hij hoort daarom ook in het rijtje van succesvolle Arnhemse Turken zoals Osman Akbulut, Samir Yazılıtaş, Nazif Güneş, Rıfat Buğdaycı en Mehmet Akpolat.
