De 7-jarige middenvelder, Ismail Karaman, heeft een uitnodiging gekregen van De Graafschap om te komen trainen. Ismail speelt op dit moment bij voetbalvereniging Elsweide in Arnhem en valt op met zijn actie’s op het veld.

Volgens bronnen uit Doetinchem zal de Nederlandse Turk eerst een paar keer meetrainen voordat de Graafschap definitief een besluit neemt over zijn toekomst bij de club.

Ismail is ook de neef van de bekende Arnhemse worstelaar Adem Karaman. Karaman kende veel successen als worstelaar bij de Arnhemse vereniging Sandow. De vader van Ismail en zijn andere oom zijn ook nog steeds wekelijks te zien langs de voetbalvelden in Arnhem.
