AFC Arnhem ‘Old Stars’ wint eenvoudig ondanks afwezigen
AFC Arnhem ‘Oldstars’ heeft zondag de thuiswedstrijd tegen SDOO 4G met 3-0 gewonnen. Voor de Arnhemmers scoorden Oguzhan Kose, Omer Ersan en Yasin Karatay.
Vier sterspelers afwezig
Ondanks het ontbreken van een viertal basisspelers dicteerde de koploper langdurig in de eerste helft tegen het defensief ingestelde SDOO 4G. Ali Deniz was afwezig vanwege de opening van de vierde vestiging van Gastronoom. Levent Akat had nog te veel last van een rugblessure. Adem Yildirim was vanwege prive-redenen in het buitenland, terwijl Samir Yazilitas om onduidelijke redenen ontbrak.
Ter vervanging van de vedettes speelde Gokhan Olgun mee, nadat hij weer terug was gekeerd uit Coventry. Olgunwas ook voor de rust bepalend voor zijn elftal dankzij zijn snelheid en fraaie acties. Om tactische redenen zat Yener Sayilgan bij aanvang op de bank, waar hij zichtbaar over teleurgesteld was. Volgens bronnen zou hij ook steeds hebben aangegeven om in te vallen.
Zware blessure Karatay na botsing
De Arnhemmers kregen dan ook de beste kansen. Yasin Karatay miste na 12 minuten voor open doel. Doelman Ekinci zorgde voor een fraaie redding na 25 minuten spelen. Aanvaller Omer Ersan verzuimde na 38 minuten om een bal van dichtbij te scoren. De bal ging na een harde schot via de lat uit.
72% balbezit voor AFC
Ondanks balbezit van 72% lukte het AFC Arnhem niet om voor de rust te scoren. Aanvaller Yasin Karatay had ook een paar keer moeite om de bal goed te raken, waardoor 100% kansen werden gemist. Dankzij de twee spelers in de defensie (Ahmet Yuce en Muhammed Yilmaz), die ook werken voor de defensie, kregen de aanvallers van SDOO achterin weinig ruimte. Trainer/coach Sezer ‘lin’ Cona verklaarde al na 40 minuten dat het niet allemaal vlot liep en dat hij maar zelf ook moest invallen. Net voor de rust kwam aanvaller Yasin Karatay in botsing met een speler van SDOO. Beide spelers verlieten het veld met een hoofdblessure. Achteraf viel de blessure van Karatay toch mee. (zie foto’s)
Supersub Oguzhan Kose
Danzkij supersub Oguzhan Kose kwam AFC Arnhem Oldstar op een verdiende 1-0 voorsprong na vijftig minuten. Kose schoot fraai in de korte hoek, na een geweldige bal van Sezgi Topuz. In de tweede helft bleef ‘AFC’ vaker aanvallen, wat niet direct leidde tot meer doelpunten. Dankzij twee katachtige reacties van Niyazi Ekinci bleef de stand 1-0 in het voordeel van AFC. Na 75 minuten voetballen kreeg ‘nummer 9’ Omer Ersan een prachtige assist van de eerder ingevallen Yener Sayilgan. Omer Ersan rondde fraai af, nadat hij ook de keeper voorbij kwam. De 3-0 kwam vijf minuten later op naam van Yasin Karatay die fraai scoorde uit de draai.
Opvallend was dat de ‘nummer 10’ van AFC, Ferhan Basaran, in 85 minuten tijd te maken kreeg met drie verschillende directe spelers. Vijf minuten voor tijd werd Basaran vanwege een blessure er afgehaald.
AFC staat is na zes duels koploper in de competitie met 13 punten.
