Na de terreuraanslagen in Parijs werden bij een moskee in Texas de muren besmeurd met poep en waren binnen ook Korans verscheurd. Dit zorgde voor veel spanning en commotie in de wijk waar de moskee zich bevond. De 7-jarige Jack was hier enorm door geraakt en doneerde al zijn centjes uit zijn spaarpot aan de moskee in Texas.
Jack: ‘Poep op de muren is toch heel vies’
De moeder van Jack vertelde aan KXAN, een zender in Texas, dat ze het in de auto hadden over hoe erg het was als iemand poep smeerde op de muren van een gebouw.’ Natuurlijk is de moeder van Jack ook een held doordat zij vertelde dat het niet uitmaakt waar mensen in geloven. Ieders geloofs is belangrijk voor hem of haar. Ik denk dat het ook belangrijk is om dit te melden aan de kinderen.’
Alle spaargeld aan de moskee
Jack was zo onder de indruk van de woorden van zijn moeder dat hij besloot om al zijn spaargeld (20 dollar) te geven aan Islamitisch Centrum in Texas. Jack was maar 7 jaar, maar deed iets wat zelfs Wilders nooit heeft gedaan. Bij de moskee waren ze zeer tevreden met de spaarpot van Jack. Faisal Naeem van de moskee vertelde ook: ‘Het is maar 20 dollar, maar uit handen van JAck is het 20 miljoen dollar waard.’
