Partnership Rijn IJssel en gemeente Arnhem
Rijn IJssel en gemeente Arnhem gaan nauwer met elkaar samenwerken. Daartoe sloten wethouder Ine van Burgsteden (die onderwijswethouder Ron König verving) en bestuursvoorzitter van Rijn IJssel Ben Geerdink op donderdag 19 november een partnership af. Doel is onder meer om vraag en aanbod op de arbeidsmarkt beter op elkaar af te stemmen en van Arnhem een aantrekkelijke (studie)stad te maken.
Wethouder König: “Deze samenwerkingsovereenkomst bewijst dat Arnhem serieus werk maakt van de verbinding tussen onderwijs, overheid en bedrijfsleven. Het is bovendien het eerste partnership dat we sluiten met een roc in onze gemeente naast de gesloten partnerships met de hogescholen.”
Vakmensen van de toekomst
Het onderwijs en de studenten zorgen voor innovatie, werkgelegenheid en dynamiek in de stad. Als school voor middelbaar beroepsonderwijs en educatie leidt Rijn IJssel de vakmensen op die in Arnhem en de regio op de arbeidsmarkt aan de slag gaan: de vakman en –vrouw in de zorg en welzijn, techniek, verzorging, horeca en creatieve industrie.
Programma’s in de wijk
Rijn IJssel en gemeente Arnhem werken al jaren samen op het gebied van voortijdig schoolverlaten, educatie en participatie en in diverse projecten als Energy Made in Arnhem en de Economische Agenda. Met het partnership breiden Rijn IJssel en gemeente Arnhem de samenwerking verder uit op het gebied van stageplaatsen en de zorg voor jongeren. Ook gaat Rijn IJssel bijdragen aan de programma’s van de gemeente, zoals ‘Van wijken weten’ over de participatie in de wijk en ‘Stad op de kaart’ over het aantrekkelijk maken van de stad.(bron: Gemeente Arnhem)
