De MMA-koning van Arnhem is al zestien jaar bezig met Mixed Martial Arts, een vechtsport waarbij bijna van alles is toegestaan om de tegenstander uit te schakelen.
De wedstrijd tegen de 33-jarige ‘Big Daddy’ uit Koblenz werd in Tijeka gespeeld. De Arnhemmer kreeg unaniem de overwinning toegewezen van de jury na drie sterke ronden van vijf minuten. De 32e overwinning van Staring zorgde ervoor dat de Arnhemmer nog steeds wereldkampioen is. Eind 2014 kroonde hij zich in het zwaargewicht tot wereldkampioen en is sindsdien ongeslagen.
