Of het daadwerkelijk om een reactie gaat van de Aldi is helaas ook niet bekend. Volgens Alperen C gaat het wel degelijk om een reactie van de Aldi. Hij beschikt namelijk over een mail waarin staat dat ‘ er inderdaad in onze ijsthee soorten een combinatie van varkensgelatine én dierlijke producten zit.’
Wel of geen varkensgelatine in Ice Tea Aldi
Volgens DutchTurks zou de ijsthee van de Aldi geen varkensgelatine en dierlijke producten bevatten. Aldi is inmiddels ook een onderzoek gestart volgens DutchTurks naar deze mail. Het artikel van DutchTurks wordt weer tegengesproken door Alperen C. Alperen C heeft namelijk als eerste in Nederland, op 21 januari 2016, hier een vraag over gesteld aan Aldi: ‘Klopt het dat er in ice tea varkens gelatine bevind, of iets dierlijks?’ Volgens een mail van Patricia Kerkhofs van de Aldi, pas een week later, bevat de Ice Tea van de Aldi wel degelijk varkensgelatine: ‘Ik heb bij onze leverancier navraag gedaan, en in onze ijsthee soorten zit inderdaad een combinatie van varkensgelatine én dierlijke producten.’
Aldi moet met een reactie komen
Het is dus allemaal nog vager dan dat we dachten. DutchTurks publiceerde namelijk op 29 januari een artikel over varkensgelatine in de ijsthee van Aldi met daarin een reactie van een woordvoerder van Aldi dat: ‘ Er zit geen varkensgelatine of dierlijke producten in de ijsthee van de Aldi.’
We verwachten dat de Aldi maandag met een persbericht komt om duidelijkheid te geven over varkensgelatine of dierlijke producten in de ice tea.
