Gigantische vliegtuigbom gevonden in Dieren
In en rondom Dieren vindt op dit moment de nodige voorbereiding voor de ‘Traverse’, verkeersverbetering tussen Arnhem en Zutphen.
Donderdag is er een zware vliegtuigbom uit de Tweede Wereldoorlog gevonden aan de Zuider-Paralelweg in Dieren. Deze gigantische bom werd gebonden tijdens de grondwerkzaamheden in deze straat.
De Explosieven Opruimingsdienst Defensie (EOD) heeft het advies gegeven om de maar liefst 500 pond zware bom niet op de locatie tot ontploffing te brengen en is hierdoor weer ingegraven. Vrijdagochtend zal de bom worden uitgegraven en op een nu nog onbekend terrein langs de snelweg A348 tot ontploffing worden gebracht.
Naar verluid wordt de 500-ponder tussen 10:00 en 10:30 uur ten einde gebracht. Hierdoor zal de snelweg A348 (deels) worden afgesloten.
