Politie Arnhem-Zuid juicht buurt WhatsApp groep toe
De politie in Arnhem-Zuid maakte bekend dat het buurt WhatsApp groepen toejuicht.
Dit kwam ter sprake tijdens een bewonersbijeenkomst met wijkbewoners in het bureau aan de Groningensingel. Met zo een buurt Whatsappgroep kunnen bewoners verdachte situaties signaleren en ook meteen delen met andere wijkgenoten. Volgens de politie zijn dit extra ogen en oren waar ze alleen maar profijt van hebben. of de politie ook lid is van zo een groep is niet bekend gemaakt.

Niet iedereen staat te juichen om lid te worden van zo een groep omdat het ’s nachts om 01:00 uur ook kan gaan over bestekzegels van de Albert Heijn of een weggelopen kat.
Bericht van de Politie: Vorig jaar hebben wij via deze Facebookpagina (Politie Arnhem-Zuid) een oproep geplaats met de vraag of er mensen interesse hadden om deel te nemen aan de burgerparticipatie avond. Deze avond kon gezien worden als een soort pilot voor eventueel meerdere bijeenkomsten.
