Moeder en zoon hadden 300.000 euro in hun lichaam
Volgens de Marechaussee kwam het geld aan het licht tijdens een securitycontrole voor hun vertrek naar Zuid-Amerika.
Bij onderzoek bleek dat de zoon 7 bollen op zak had met briefjes van 500 euro. Al snel was er ook het vermoeden dat de jongen ook bollen met geld geslikt zou hebben. Dit werd dan ook direct onderzocht. Om onduidelijke redenen werd de man onwel en moest hij naar het ziekenhuis gebracht worden. Door middel van een operatie werden er alsnog 33 bollen uit zijn lichaam gehaald.
Later bleek ook dat de moeder betrokken was bij deze deal en werd zij ook onderzocht. De moeder had ook in totaal 22 bollen geslikt. In totaal hadden beiden voor 300.000 euro aan briefjes van 500 euro in hun lichaam verstopt.
De verdachten zitten nog vast en hun voorlopige hechtenis is met 90 dagen verlengd.
