Johan Derksen: ‘Zo een club als Fenerbahce moeten we niet serieus nemen’
Johan Derksen ging weer tijdens VI tekeer over Turkije en het Turkse voetbal. De Turkse topclub Fenerbahce zou volgens Derksen ook niet geschikt zijn voor Dick Advocaat om zijn carriere een vervolg te geven. ‘Als je bondscoach zou worden en je gaat naar Belgie, dan zou ik daar geen morele bezwaren tegen hebben. Maar nu naar Turkije, politiek gezien, moet je niet willen.’

Derksen wel vaker anti-Turks
Derksen valt regelmatig op met zijn anti-mening over moslims en Turkije. Zijn mening over de Turkse competitie is altijd ook anders dan wanneer hij over andere competities praat. Hij was dan ook zeer duidelijk over de keuze van Dick Advocaat om te tekenen bij de Turkse topclub, terwijl hij een paar weken geleden nog tekende bij Oranje.

‘Hij kan toch van alles doen. Je hoeft toch niet in een land, waar je niet bij wil horen op dit moment. Als je kijkt wat daar gebeurt, dan zijn echt verschrikkelijke dingen. We hebben onze mond vol over allerlei gekke landen. Maar Turkije kun je daar ook bij rekenen, op dit moment. En daar ga je niet heen om ordinair geld te verdienen! En het voetbal in Turkije : dan zeggen we altijd, als je echt nergens terecht kunt, kun je daar nog een paar centen verdienen. Dus moeten we zo een club als Fenerbahce niet al te serieus nemen.’
