Ex-politieman heeft €100.000,- nodig voor belangrijke operatie
Van hulpverlener naar hulpbehoevend. Het begon allemaal na een diagnose van vier jaar geleden. De diagnose MS, een ongeneselijke, chronische aandoening aan het zenuwstelsel.
Voorbeeld politieman
Daniel de Vries een echte politieman, een levensredder van vele mensen, een echte sportman, vader en echtgenoot heeft de ongeneselijke spierziekte MS en langzaam laat zijn lichaam zijn geest in de steek. Hieronder Daniel van 2012 tot en met 2016:
2012
Daan, 29 jaar, krijgt last van zijn rechterbeen. Na onderzoek krijgt hij de diagnose MS.
2013
Lachend zien we Daan door het bureau lopen. Inmiddels wat mank, maar vrolijk en nog altijd druk aan het werk. Niet in uniform, de veiligheid is niet meer te garanderen. Maar politiewerk verrichten kan ook vanachter zijn bureau, op tactisch gebied.
2014
Daan komt af en toe voor een kop koffie op het bureau. Werken gaat niet meer, zijn lichaam laat hem te veel in de steek.
2015
We zien Daan vrijwel niet meer. Een hele enkele keer zien we hem als we door de wijk surveilleren waarin hij woont.
2016
Daniel belandt in een rolstoel, zijn geheugen gaat achteruit. Zijn sportieve leven bestaat niet meer en de inwoners voor wie Daniel atijd klaarstond, lopen in het winkelcentrum met een grote boog om hem heen. Het gevolg? De Daan die altijd voor iedereen klaar stond, die een stap naar voren zette waar anderen een stap terug deden, komt zijn huis vrijwel nooit meer uit.
Zijn vrienden, familie en collega’s willen iets voor hem terug doen.
Om de progressie van de MS te stoppen, heeft Daan dringend een Hematopoetische stamceltransplantatie nodig. Deze operatie wordt door de zorgverzekeraar niet vergoed en is daarmee onbetaalbaar. Want voor deze operatie is 100.000 euro nodig.
Daarom is de stichting en crowdfund-actie ‘Ga staan voor Daan’ opgericht.
Wij hopen, dat jullie Daan en zijn vrouw Shireen, beiden werkzaam voor de politie, willen helpen.
100.000 euro. Het klinkt als onoverkomelijk veel. Maar dat zijn 1000 mensen die 100 euro overmaken, of 10.000 mensen die 10 euro overmaken. Ons bereik is regelmatig velen malen groter dan 10.000 mensen. Het moet toch lukken om dit bedrag op zeer korte termijn bij elkaar te krijgen?
Maar hiervoor hebben wij de hulp van iedereen die dit leest nodig.
