VIDEO Turkije-expert Elfrink reageert op Turkse ‘spanningen’ in Arnhem
Hoewel er amper onrust of spanningen zijn binnen de Turkse gemeenschap in Arnhem, zijn er toch ‘journalisten’ die dit anders willen laten zien in Arnhem. Zo ook een verslaggever van Radio en TV Arnhem.

Geen spanningen in Arnhem
Het was rustig in Arnhem, en het blijft voorlopig ook rustig in Arnhem. De ‘Gulenisten’ (zo noemen we ze maar even) vormen een enorme minderheid in Arnhem en omgeving, in tegenstelling tot Turkse Arnhemmers van verschillende Turkse verenigingen (Milli Gorus aanhangers, AK-partij sympathisanten, Diyanet-leden of leden van de Grijze Wolven in Arnhem.) Mede omdat blanke journalisten in Arnhem amper gelegenheden bezoeken waar Turkse Arnhemmers komen, is er geen binding met deze doelgroep en vooral veel onjuiste informatie over ‘Turks Arnhem.’
Turkije-expert Elfrink
Maar dit is niet het geval voor Jurgen Elfrink. Turkije-expert en SP-fractievoorzitter Jurgen Elfrinkr reageerde in een interview van Radio en TV Arnhem op spanningen in Arnhem en de rol van SP hierin. Elfrink vertelde ook wat de rol van de fractie was bij de komst van een Gulen-school naar Arnhem. Elfrink is ook een van de weinige gemeenteraadsleden in de stad die een goede band heeft met Turkse Arnhemmers. Volgens bronnen dichtbij de SP-fractievoorzitter gaat hij altijd het gesprek aan met voor-en tegenstanders die hij al jaren kent in de stad en is hij zichtbaar en dus aanspreekbaar..
