D66 Arnhem gaat vanavond aan burgemesteer Kaiser van Arnhem vragen om thuisteelt van wiet mogelijk te maken voor mensen die dat vanwege medische redenen nodig hebben.

In een verklaring op de website van D66 staat dat vorige week het thuis kweken van wiet (medicinale cannabis) in Tilburg is toegestaan. Een meerderheid in de Arnhemse raad lijkt dit nu ook te gaan steunen! Ook wil men met het voorstel voorkomen dat Arnhemse inwoners door woningcorporaties uit huis worden gezet!
Burgemeester Noordanus van Tilburg kwam wel met voorwaarden voor het kweken van wiet in de woning. Er moet een medisiche verklaring zijn waaruit blijkt dat deze mensen cannabis medisch moeten gebruiken. En wiet dat thuis gekweekt is, mag niet verkocht worden. Er is ook een maximum van 5 planten die men dan mag kweken.
D66 stelt de vragen maandagavond samen met de SP, Partij voor de Dieren en Groenlinks. Hoewel nog niet bekend is hoe burgemeester Kaiser gaat reageren lijkt het voorstel van D66 belangrijker dan dat het is. Nederlanders mogen namelijk nu al tot 5 planten thuis in hun bezit hebben. Wel wil D66 voorkomen dat mensen uit hun huis worden gezet door een woningcorporatie omdat ze in huis 5 planten kweken.
