Elsweide 013 niet scherp en verliest uit bij SML (3-1)
Bij Elsweide O13 weten ze weer wat het is om te verliezen. De meeste jeugdspelers van succescoach Harun Koprulu verloren zes maanden geleden voor het laatst. Vandaar dat het ook even wennen was.

Extra training vanwege zware wedstrijd
Ondanks extra trainingen voor de wedstrijd tegen SML wilde het zaterdag niet lukken. SML was al door de technische staf geanalyseerd om een oplossing te vinden voor SML O13 dat ook veel dispensatie spelers had van O15. Elsweide kwam zelfs op een voorsprong tijdens een corner. Na een voorzet van Akin Koprulu maakte Mergi Bagci de 0-1. SML speelde niet helemaal goed, waardoor ze bij Elsweide verrast waren.
Met een snelle gelijkmaker kwam de thuisploeg terug en was dit meteen ook de ruststand. De kansen die Elsweide kreeg werden niet verzilverd. Waar de trainer achteraf toch kritisch over was.’Tegen een tegenstander als SML krijg je al niet veel kansen, waardoor je deze had moeten benutten.’
Veel sterkere SML na de rust
Na de rust kwam SML ook vrij snel op een 2-1 voorsprong door een defensieve fout bij Elsweide. Dit zorgde zichtbaar voor teleurstelling bij de spelers van Elsweide. SML bleef goed voetballen en maakte ook nog aan het eind 3-1. ‘We hebben de kansen niet kunnen verzilveren. Bij SML hadden ze speler die lang en sterk waren in de lucht. Maar een verlies is ook goed voor de jongens. Zo kunnen ze hier ook mee leren omgaan.
Elsweide staat nu derde in de derde klasse met 18 punten uit zes wedstrijden. De Paasberg O13 staat eerste met 21 punten uit 7 en SML O13-3d staat tweede met 18 punten uit zes wedstrijden.
