Luxor Live neemt een voorsprong op de concurrentie en introduceert het zogenaamde ‘pinnen’
In Luxor Live is het tegenwoordig mogelijk om met een PIN-pas te betalen; een nieuwe betaalmethode waar geen contant geld aan te pas komt. Maar wat houdt dat “pinnen” nou exact in?
Kaart met persoonlijke code
De kaart heeft een persoonlijke code die op een automaat ingetoetst moet worden. De automaat stuurt de afrekening vervolgens naar de computer van de Bankgiro centrale in Leusden en die incasseert het bedrag van de bankrekening van de consument. Er zijn zelfs geavanceerde PIN-passen in omloop waarmee geheel contactloos kan worden afgerekend!

Nieuwe betaalsysteem
De directeur van Luxor Live, Stefan Rebergen reageert enthousiast op het nieuwe betaalsysteem: “Het scheelt ons een hoop werk! Betalen met contant geld blijft natuurlijk gewoon mogelijk, maar met de komst van PIN zetten wij definitief een punt achter de mogelijkheid om met schelpen te betalen. Betalen met schelpen is echt niet meer van deze tijd”.
Wanneer u in de supermarkt met dit betalingssysteem uw boodschappen kunt gaan afrekenen moet nog blijken, maar de Bankgiro laat weten dat de verwachting is dat het zogenaamde “pinnen” in de loop van 2017 ook in andere branches in gebruik zal worden genomen. In Luxor Live gaan de eerste “gepinde” biertjes inmiddels als warme broodjes over de toonbank.
